Amazing food - Lovely PeopleI've been going to St. Augustine since 2011 and this is my first time eating at Back 40 Urban Cafe. The quality of the food was wonderful! I wish I would have discovered this place earlier! Thank you Back 40 team :)

Love this place!! I wish it were closer to home.

This place had the best salad I have EVER eaten. It was the curry shrimp salad and MAN it was good. My wife and I also split a Cuban sandwich as well and it was the best thing we ate during our 4 day trip to St Augustine. I HIGHLY recommend this place. We called for the curry dressing recipe since we live 500+ miles away, and they won't give it out, which I understand, but I'd be willing to pay for it! Maybe they'll ship? If you're visiting or a local, be sure to check it out. Amazing!

Food was awesome staff were super friendly

First time here arrived around 3:30 in the afternoon and how most had the place to ourselves. Savannah our server was very helpful on pointed out a couple tacos we should try. We decided to get the dynamite shrimp taco and it was excellent! They are normally priced at $5 each but between 3 and 6 which is happy hour they come down to $3 each which is a steal! Also they have drink specials at that time. We will be coming back for sure!

This place is busy!! On a tuesday november evening all tables are full... and while the food is exactly like the 1st location... this one has a sour kitchen aroma...like the mop for the kitchen floor was used for the dining room. Not the best aroma to eat in...I will stick to the Dixie hwy location!!

I simply love this place. We were excited when they opened a second location and the food and service were just as exemplary as the original St. Augustine restaurant. Daily specials are always on point, service is friendly and quick, nice beer/wine list and bar none the best Cuban Sandwich on the First Coast!

Good food and service. Mine was great but my son got the lime shrimp quesadilla and while good there was no lime flavor. We had to ask for limes to get some lime flavor. Same with the Key lime pie. Bump up the lime flavor and this place gets 5 stars from me! The burrito was huge and the tacos were great!

Cute place in Butler Beach. Chips and Salsa is some of the locals best. The Back 40 Burger and Cuban sandwich are so good! The potato salad used to be some of the best I’ve had BUT unfortunately the last several times I’ve gone it’s not been the same :( Not sure if a new recipe but PLEASE go back to the original! ) They have birch beer on tap which is a very nice alternative. Wide menu variety so likely find something for everyone. The Back 40 taste hasn’t quite been the same the last few times... Hoping will get back to what it was!!

Good good, reasonable prices, and efficient service. Just a great neighborhood restaurant.

The items we had were very yummy!If you're in St. Augustine I suggest going to the location there. As good as the food was the ambiance was, well, ...standard. Don't get me wrong. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was very good. There just isn't a compelling reason to drive the extra distance.

From the outside the place seemed like an offset tiny place. But once inside the whole place was opened up from the friendly faces to the wonderful atmosphere. The service we friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food seemed to be hand crafted for each unique person and the flavors made eat bite better than the last. Will go again and again.

Great local hangout. The best and biggest nachos in town, and great drink prices during 3-6 happy hour. The staff is also exceptional.

Good food at a reasonable price.

Food was horrible. Do not eat here. Spent over 150.00 on 2 carry out orders last Friday night, food was cold, all wrong and forgot all the sides when they carried out. All 8 people throw their food in garbage. I would not eat there ever if we go back to Butler Beach. Stay away. Only good thing was the young girl taking orders was nice. Troy

Excellent wet burrito. They need to do a shredded beef wet burrito. Kind of surprised they don't. Ok, here on a Wed night. DO NOT COME ON WED!! No parking...should have been an indicator. Louder than h*ll inside, and the service is non-existent. We are here just about an hour. No end in sight. Arrived 5:30....big mistake

Love this place. Don't let the strip mall location scare you. This place is a great little restaurant for a date. On Tues, they have "date night" which gets you 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert for $25 !Been here maybe 10 times, and all the dishes we've had were delicious. Key lime pie is a home run. They even have cozy bar with decent beer choices.

So we just had lunch at the best place in town and Devin took awesome care of us not only her but everyone in the building had a smile on they're face Super time 😊 THANKYOU

Caught special on tacos during happy hour (3:00-6:00). Variety of tacos to choose. We tried the mahi, shrimp, mojo pork, jerk chicken, and chimichurri steak. Would recommend all of them. Wait staff very friendly and polite.

Great little diner. Lots of friendly people go there. Very agreeable to changing food orders and dog friendly too

I have been several times and the staff is just wonderful. I always get the vegetarian Chile but lately it’s been way to spicy. Friday night - Oct 12I ordered the wet burrito for my mother and the next day she had food poisoning and ended up in the ER. Let’s just say, I won’t be eating here anytime soon.

Freakin amazing!! The freshest ingredients go into all their food and you can really tell. Everything from the Beer Cheese Queso to the side of salsa was full of unique flavor and the Florida touch that's missing in a lot of the more popular places. :)
